We are talking about a practical 3G smartphone suitable for your everyday need that features a fancy design and good specifications for the price, which is honestly really low and anyone could afford one of these once it launches.

The S2 smartphone by Kingzone is a rather basic but functional cell phone, with a slim and elegant design that provides a 4.5 Inch screen that offers a decent resolution of 854 x 480 pixels. The core of this terminal is the MTK6580 by MediaTek, featuring a powerful 1.3 GHz Quad Core CPU alongside the Mali-400 MP2 GPU. This built is complemented by 1 GB of Ram and 8 GB Rom for internal storage and is power by a 2300mAh battery. Last but not least it runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop, which makes the Kingzone S2 a total bargain for the price when the release date arrives. If you require further details just keep reading, we have gathered all the information you need to know about this attractive and affordable device.

Design:

Despite being a low-end smartphone the design for the Kingzone S2 is really remarkable, the screen has 4.5 inches of size and the external body is really slim and elegant, and has the following dimensions 5.67 x 2.8 x 0.31 inches with a weight of barely 0.129 kg. As you can appreciate by taking a look at the images this cell is a thin device that will fit your pocket just like a ring to the finger. The Kingzone s2 has a high strength metal frame wrapping the body sidelong. The rear case has a wire-drawing to enhance the grip and feeling while holding the smartphone in your hands.
On the frontal section, the classic “Home” physical button is located just below the screen, sharing the space with two touchable buttons, one on each side. Over the display, you´ll find a frontal 2MP camera alongside the phone speaker. On the top of the smartphone two ports can be found: the audio Jack for earphones and the Mini-USB. On the right side, the powers On/Off key and volume buttons are listed. Finally, on the rear case the main 8.0 MP camera can be found, also there is a speaker in the inferior section of the case right after the Kingzone logo.
Is worth mentioning that the rear case will come in four different colors for you to choose, these colors are: black, white, orange and also red.

Display:

The display is pretty standard, it is a 4.5 inch capacitive IPS screen with a resolution of 854 x 480 (218ppp), which to be fair is the one of the best you can get for such a low price. Without being impressive, the display  will still provide a standard and friendly experience while browsing the interface, also the image quality doesn’t seem that bad at all is just average, but if you want a better display quality you would also need to rise your budget, since is really hard to find something better at this price.

CPU and GPU:

The system on a chip embedded in this smartphone is a Mediatek MT6580, which features a 32-bit Quad-core processor running at 1.3 GHz of clock frequency, which is based on the Harvard CPU architecture and is commonly featured in low to mid end devices. This CPU is really good and the built benefits a lot from it, it can deliver seamless performance for your everyday apps or games and can perform a little bit of multitasking with good results. As long as you don’t intend to throw it intensive CPU tasks you’ll be fine.
This SoC is intended to be shipped with a Mali graphics processor, in this case, the ARM® Mali™-400 MP2, which has a frequency of 500MHz, this GPU features OpenGL® ES 2.0 also providing of 2D and 3D acceleration. In other words, this GPU will grant the Kingzone S2 a great visual quality within the limits of the display and will perform smoothly while browsing the interface or executing common apps, also most android games will deliver playable framerate at medium to high settings and resolutions. But then again, if you have in mind even more GPU intensive tasks than the previously mentioned, we are sorry to tell you that the Kingzone S2 won’t suit that kind of requirements.

Memory:

When it comes to memory we can see one of the greatest bottlenecks of this built, the memory Ram, which is only about 1GB large, actually even less when you keep in mind the portion used by the OS. This amount isn’t the best choice for multitasking, but for the normal usages given by an average user, it won’t be such a big deal, although keep in mind that if you are a person who needs to perform several tasks at the same time, this right here is a limitation. Sooner than some manufacturers dear to admit 2GB of ram will be the minimum for this aspect.
The internal storage is about 8 GB large and is also an issue since a vital portion is occupied by the system data, therefore, leaving a small quantity left. But this issue can be solved by plugging a Micro-SD card for which a slot available. Also, is worth mentioning that the maximum capacity supported will be of 64 GB.

OS and software:

The Kingzone S2 is an Android device that will run on its 5.1 version, Lollipop, so you know already what features offers, from surfing the web to downloading a wide variety of apps, etc. According to the manufacturer, this smartphones can be updated later to Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

Camera:

This smartphone will feature two rather basic cameras; the frontal camera has a 2.0 MP resolution and the rear cam 8.0 MP and includes a flashlight. Both cameras are able to record videos and support touch focus. The overall quality of the pictures taken should be decent as long as the illumination allows it, but they will always be limited by the short resolution.

Battery:

The battery is a Li-ion Battery with a capacity of 2300mAh and voltage of 3.8V, that considering the resolution of the display , should be a point in favor, offering this way a lifespan long enough to reach the end of the day.

It’s hard to deliver a final judgement for a product that hasn’t been released yet and we haven’t had the chance to play with, but when it comes out to the market the Kingzone S2 will deliver an experience suitable for the basic needs and tasks, nothing too over the edge but quite good for the small and affordable price. There any major flaws? Yes, for instance, it lacks 4G LTE network support, also the memory is rather short and the display resolution isn’t that high, but when it comes to price range it’s a hard work to find something better than this.
But to wrap this up we can stablish that the overall performance will be good among the low-end devices and could even rival with older mid-end smartphones. The Kingzone S2 should be despite the bottlenecks a reliable choice for the less demanding users who only need the crucial functions for which current cell phones are meant for, Therefore, social networks, media playback, and Apps will work just perfect. So you would be getting a great deal if you decide to purchase it.
